Seppo Renvall

Ehdokas 2008

Seppo Renvalls (f. 1963) omfattande och mångsidiga produktion hör till eliten inom den finländska, experimentella rörliga bilden. I Renvalls filmer – bl.a. den experimentella hellånga filmen Film 1999 som blev färdig år 2000 – sammanförs privat material ofta med den materiella bearbetningen av filmens egenskaper. Renvalls filmer, videor, installationer och happenings har presenterats på de mest betydande arenorna för experimentell film och bildkonst allt från New Yorks Anthology Film Archiv till biennalerna i Venedig och São Paulo.
