Adel Abidin

”Allt jag gör baserar sig generellt sett på ironi och sarkasm. Min viktigaste uttrycksform är humorn”, säger Adel Abidin. Hans konst är öppet politisk och behandlar smärtpunkterna i vårt samhälle och naturligtvis också livet självt.

Abidin utgår ofta från personliga minnen och erfarenheter men utför sina arbeten på ett begreppsligt och symboliskt plan. Därför öppnar de sig också för envar oberoende av historisk eller kulturell bakgrund. Abidin uppfattar sig själv som en global nomad: ”Jag hör till tiden, reser i tiden”.
