Marja Strömmer

Born 1964 in Tornio, lives in Helsinki.

Marja Strömmer's mode of graphic expression is small-scale and intimate. Her range of themes is also intimate, even personal: the relationship between father and daughter (and later on motherhood and growing old). In some of her works, Strömmer has tried to get away from the two-dimensionality characteristic of the print; making her works three-dimensional by mounting them on wooden cubes.
